I think I finally figured out the difference between Adobe's CoCoMo and Pacifica projects. Pacifica enables communications with video, audio, presence (etc.) in a fully P2P system, while CoCoMo enables nearly the same stuff via the Acrobat Connect infrastructure. What doesn't line up with this idea is that during the presentation, we learned that they would shortly be 'adding' P2P to the system.

I find it interesting to see Adobe working on parallel and competing technologies. I hope that it works out, as I think each has a place in the services infrastructure space, but I worry that Pacifica will get shafted to prevent revenue loss on the CoCoMo services product. Of course, I could be completely wrong on my take of this. We'll just have to wait and see.
